How your donations to date have been used?
OpinionWorld members in the UK have raised £8,400 (€10,600) for the charity Leukaemia Research. The money will be spent on tests for kids with Leukaemia to help doctors decide how best to treat them.

Registered charity 216032 (England & Wales) SC037529 (Scotland)
One Mum sums up the difference the tests have made to her daughter's life: “Rachel has been fighting leukaemia for over 2 years. She is now in remission and I believe that the test has helped to save her life. She was diagnosed as high risk and so was quickly given more drugs to kill the leukaemia. Without this test, I am not sure she would be here today. The test has been developed by Leukaemia Research; for me that shows just how important research is. Thank you for helping this great charity”.
Our funds for Leukaemia Research
For every survey completed by OpinionWorld members, Survey Sampling International (SSI) makes a donation to their choice of 3 charities. This link to charity sets SSI apart from other market researchers and is well received by members.
Caron Robinson, Communication Manager at SSI says Leukaemia Research is particularly popular with OpinionWorld members.
“We very quickly reach our usual donation threshold of €5,000 whenever we offer Leukaemia Research as an option to our members. That's why we raised it to £5,000 the second time we featured this charity. Sadly, cancer and leukaemia has a personal resonance for a lot of us, so our members are very willing to offer whatever support they can.”
Another opportunity to support
The good news is that, due to the overwhelming interest from our members, SSI has just agreed to relist Leukaemia Research in their program. So there will be another opportunity to support this worthy organisation in the near future.
